AAU and NFL have formed a partnership
NFL owners and the players association have pledged a 100 million dollars to promote youth sports
Emphasis has been placed on the ages 8 - 16

AAU Flag football has $50,000 dollars available in grants this year to assist in the establishment of AAU flag football leagues and teams.
Grants are for $500.00 and may be used for club fees, AAU cards, equipment, field rental, etc.
A 2-page form must be submitted to acquire a grant contact Pam Marshall or Jackie Markham at 407-828-4074 for the forms.

The Flag Football Committee established the following goals:
Establish a website page and brochure before the next Junior Olympics.
Hold an exhibition game at the next J.O. games in Hampton Roads, VA
By 2001 have Rules consolidated for the sport and present at the National Convention
By 2002 start moving for a National Championship
